The Coilprotector coil wrapping machine concept provides a new approach to 'eye horizontal' coil packaging. Unlike its previous counterparts, the Coilprotector is designed to be easily operated and maintained. Only high-grade industrial components are used in its construction. The Coilprotector is free from pneumatics and hydraulics; all movements are carried out with reliable electromechanical actuators, most of them with servo-drives.The Coilprotector can be installed in various configurations, beginning with stand-alone applications and ending with being a part of a fully automated multistage, coil packaging line. It enables products to be packaged from several different directions; the open-top construction even allows the products to enter from above with the help of an existing overhead crane.
The time and resources required for installing the Coilprotector is minimized by breaking deliveries up into a few main components. Traditional counterparts always require full reassembling on site, which results not only in a prolonged start-up time, but also in spending unnecessary money for installation components.
The low-profile, open-top construction of the Coilprotector allows easy access to refill the packaging material and to service the machine.
